Fly like and Eagle

I couldn't help thinking of that song. For graduation, we decided to do an activity that we would remember instead of spend money on a graduation gift. Since the Point of the Mountain is supposed to be one of the best places in the world for hang gliding, we said "Hey! We'll probably never try this otherwise--let's do it!"  So we found an awesome deal, and talked David and Becky into coming with us since our sister-in-law is graduating this year as well.

We don't regret it. It was pretty awesome. The weather got a little rough, so our rides may have been shorter than possible, but we had an awesome time. The rules were--don't be a sack of potatoes. Keep your legs running when he said, and don't touch anything you shouldn't. Easy enough, right. While Landon was flying, there was a hawk flying against the wind. They decided to chase it and swoop in over it. The guy driving the hang glider even "cacawed" at it to scare it, ha. While Becky was up, the wind stopped. They couldn't get their altitude high enough to land back where we were and had to go down the cliffside to another spot, but it worked out. Overall, I decided it wasn't as scary a I expected, but that's probably because I wasn't driving. Just along for the ride!
