1 month old!

I am a week late, but our baby is 1 month old! Now that we have had some time with him, I thought I would tell you a little bit about his personality.

  •  He has started to tolerate bath time. The crying has decreased until this last time he didn't cry at all, and almost seemed like he liked it.
  •  He likes to grunt really loud as he stretches when he wakes up, like both of his parents. I think he will be much taller after all of his stretching. And the grunting is becoming pretty constant too.
  •  He always has his hands up. While he sleeps he is in the touchdown pose, and if he is ever upset or off balance one fist always goes in the air.
  •  He's a strong kid. By day 4 he was already rolling to his side. He holds his head up pretty well, especially when he's frustrated.  And he rolled from his belly to his back for the first time yesterday!
  •  His timing is amazing. He used to always go to the bathroom just after his diaper came off. Now he waits long enough for you to put the new diaper, and then lets it fly. We have used up to 3 diapers in one changing.
  •  He's already pretty stubborn. He knows what he wants!
  •  He tries to sleep good at night. He is already doing pretty well.
  •  He has started going out and about with us. He has been to his first baseball game to watch Daddy play intramurals, and to his uncle David's wedding.

We love the little guy. We are excited for people to get to meet him!

Announcement

We made a baby announcement because we had some free money on shutterfly from the hospital. I printed a few for doting grandmas, but we couldn't afford to send it to all of our family and friends. So, instead, I posted it to our blog :) You can click on it to see it larger, or even order one if you would like it.

1 week photo shoot

I'm a little behind on getting out a baby announcement, but it's coming :)  Grandma Rowley came to see her first grandson when he was a week old and took some pictures for us.  Here are a few of them, just for fun.

It was tough to get one with his eyes open, so Grandma Draney and I took this one later when he was more awake.

Special Delivery!

That was supposed to be a stork picture, but we caught some of his diaper. But, since he owns up to the name in the next picture, we didn't dare take it off.

He even got to meet his Great Grandma Christensen this week.

Special Delivery!

I am a little behind, but I wanted to post some pictures for you guys. Here is our little guy,
born APRIL 25th,
weighing in at
6 LBS 10 OZ, 19.25 INCHES LONG

I was so cold! I had the shakes pretty bad for about an hour after delivery, so they gave me blankets to help.  But Landon's sure a proud Daddy!!

We had some visitors. David was proud to be the first person (other than parents and doctors) to hold the little guy. He brought me flowers and Whitney brought the balloon that are at the end of the post. The blue flowers are from Landon :)

He had trouble breathing at first and was sent to the NICU for a couple hours.

They had a cap to help the cone-head :) along with the tubes

They finally brought him down to our room about 3 or 4 hours later and I got to hold him.

Going Home!
